Effective Decision Making as a Leadership Capability

No matter what our personal or professional circumstances are, as humans, we are constantly making decisions. Our waking hours are filled with decisions of varying significance, complexity, value, and impact. Our decisions and the resulting actions we take are shaping not only our own lives, but the lives of countless others. And whether we are exhibiting personal leadership or engaging in the leadership of others, the nature, structure, and quality of our decision-making is critically important because the consequences of bad decision-making can be widespread and very costly.
